WinX DVD Ripper platinum for Windows

Ordering problems fixed afterwards by Support - thanks guys!. Avangate Support switched me to the right software - yay! I ordered the PC version when I needed the Mac version, and Support corrected my problem. I can't actually edit my earlier review, as far as I can tell, so I'm adding a new one Pros: Support fixed the problem of the wrong software

Deceptive - Beware of what you order. Beware. Look extremely carefully - there are both windows and mac versions, and, unlike other applications, their download site does not identify your computer. And they (so far) have refused to correct this... Cons: SITE DOES NOT OFFER CORRECT VERSION

Think twice before you trust this company. I bought and downloaded Win X Copy Pro for the full retail price, along with a free copy of Win X DVD Ripper almost 2 years ago. Never received a hard copy but the download worked fine on some music lessons I wanted to back up to my drive. I had 20 DVD's to do and I had some problems in that all of the lessons were from the same course but some of the discs used different protection methods and had to be recopied several times. In the end all worked quite well. About a year later I went to use the software again and was notified my trial subscription had expired and I would have to purchase it again. It was originally advertised as 39.95 full price and included the DVD Ripper free. If you decide to buy from these people get in an email at least that you are paying for a full version of the product. I would not have minded if the wouldn't upgrade after a year but the version I still had should have still worked and did not expire. Their are a lot of other good copy programs out there that don't get as many negative views. I personally think their thieves.

Untruth in Advertising. The Youtube video shows the software being used to rip a 2 hour DVD in 5 minutes. Not true. It really shows ripping the first 5 minutes of the DVD and not the ENTIRE DVD. Positive to this software. Absolutely fantastic bit of software, had to tweak the conversion to AVI video origin AC3/DTS and the audio synced perfectly

Doesn't work. The audio and video almost never sync up onscreen. So almost every dvd I've copied onto hard drive are unwatchable. It's almost like watching an old school dubbed Chinese film where the mouths are moving but no words come out yet. Also, I ran into the same problem that another buyer had, where I was offered an update, but then told my license code did not exist.
